Thousands of Moroccan visitors and foreign tourists flocked to the city of Chefchaouen to spend the New Year's holiday, with the overcrowding in the Blue City being remarkably and noticeably apparent throughout Tuesday and Wednesday.
The Chefchaouen prefecture, along with the provincial and municipal councils, in partnership with the Provincial Tourism Council, worked to invest in this occasion and organised a programme that encouraged visitors and tourists to spend the holiday in "Chaouen".
The main squares of Chefchaouen saw the organisation of artistic performances, traditional music workshops, open-air tea parties, and henna tattoo workshops for girls and women, alongside various other diverse events.
