Training to better protect: Azemmour at the heart of an initiative against exclusion and violence against children

The work brought together representatives of the network's internal bodies as well as members of local associations working in the fields of social inclusion and children's rights. Participants notably worked on concrete methodologies to integrate the social inclusion approach into the documents and practices of associations, while deepening their knowledge of national and international legal frameworks relating to child protection.  

This initiative is part of the "Dialogue" project, a strategic programme for strengthening the capacities of Moroccan civil society funded by the European Union. Supported by a consortium including Handicap International, the Aman Association for Children's Rights, and Lawyers Without Borders, this project provides for several training sessions ahead of the upcoming launch of a national advocacy programme for access to justice for vulnerable populations.  

Mohammed Benlaidi, president of the Network of Doukkala Associations, highlighted the importance of this training as a preparatory step for broader awareness-raising and advocacy actions for the rights of marginalised groups. Other similar sessions are planned in the coming months to consolidate the achievements and expand the impact of this collective work.
