Al Hoceima hosted, for three days, the first edition of the Book and Theatre Forum, a cultural event dedicated to conferences, book signings, theatrical writing workshops, and a book fair highlighting the latest literary and theatrical publications.
Placed under the theme "Al Hoceima hosts the word and the stage", this forum was organized by the Arif Association for Culture and Heritage, in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Communication, with the ambition to enrich the local cultural scene and promote the role of theatre as a vector for expressing the cultural identity of the region.
The Forum's conferences explored key themes of theatre and literature, including the interaction between performance and memory, as well as the challenges of theatre in the digital age. In parallel, the book fair brought together a vast selection of works related to these themes.
This cultural event was also marked by the presentation and signing of several notable works, including "Theatre, an open workshop" by director Bousselham Daif, "Dictionary of Moroccan plays" by playwright Fahd Kaghat, as well as "Selections of the works of Emilio Blanco Izza: social structures and Rifian customary laws" by writer Abdelmajid Azzouzi.
In addition to meetings and debates, the event offered a framework conducive to exchanges between authors and thinkers on essential cultural issues.
