Between January and November 2024, the port of Al Hoceima recorded 2,265 tonnes of coastal and artisanal fishing products, marking a 4% increase compared to the same period in 2023. In parallel, the market value of these catches reached 126.52 million dirhams, an increase of 10%.
Contrasting performances by species Cephalopods stand out as the engine of this growth. With a 25% increase in volume (1,392 tonnes) and 33% in value (87.78 MDH), these species confirm their importance for the local economic activity.
