Customs officers, in coordination with the police services of the port of Al Hoceima, seized 20 kg of Chira (cannabis resin) on Monday evening at the port of Al Hoceima.

The drugs were concealed in a vehicle registered in Spain and driven by a Spanish national of Moroccan origin, local authorities stated.

The suspect, who was attempting to smuggle the drugs into Spain, has been arrested and placed at the disposal of the Al Hoceima judicial police for further investigation, the same source added.
