A new crisis has emerged at the level of the Ait Melloul commune, after three members of the council issued a statement against the council president, Hicham El Kaissouni, accusing him of 'misleading' public opinion instead of 'taking responsibility'.
The three members, namely 'M. A', 'F. S', and 'G. A', accused President El Kaissouni in their statement of committing multiple irregularities in local management, including the obstruction of mandatory expenditures, the freezing of structural projects, and 'breaches' of the principle of territorial governance, which threatens the normal functioning of the public service.
These members expressed their readiness to resort to the judiciary to uncover the circumstances of these irregularities and arrange legal consequences, and their keenness to protect public funds and restore citizens' confidence in the management of their commune's affairs.…
