The document was initialed by President of the Souss-Massa Regional Council Karim Achengli and President of Atlas Marine Group, the company leading the project, Gregory Darling. Under the terms of the agreement, the new maritime link will optimize freight transport and meet the logistical challenges related to overland routes.
It aims to facilitate the flow of trade between Morocco and West African countries by reducing transport costs and increasing the efficiency of commodity and truck transport.Â
This ambitious project will contribute to boosting trade exchanges and open new horizons for investment between the two parties.Â
Achengli told MAP that the establishment of the Agadir-Dakar trade maritime route is part of the implementation of the Royal Vision, which places great emphasis on strengthening African cooperation.
This project will bring added value to existing trade between the Kingdom and other countries on the African continent, Achengli said, noting that the new trade line will also help promote sustainable development in the Souss-Massa region.
For his part, President of the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises (CGEM) Souss-Massa branch Driss Boutti said that the launch of the Agadir-Dakar commercial maritime service was part of a drive to strengthen the fruitful cooperation and partnership between Morocco and African countries.
