Support and financing, tools and guarantee mechanisms and co-financing, business competitiveness programmes and flow management, cash management and payment systems were the axes around which the work of the third edition of the regional campaign dedicated to VSEs (Very Small and Medium Enterprises) revolved.
Organised in Agadir on 21 October by a joint commission bringing together Bank Al-Maghrib, the Professional Group of Banks of Morocco (GPBM), the General Confederation of Enterprises of Morocco (CGEM), the Central Guarantee Fund (CCG) and the National Agency for the Promotion of Small and Medium Enterprises (ANPME), this meeting was themed "Together for the development of VSEs in your region".
This event, which is part of a participatory and innovative approach, sets itself the objective of developing a map of needs based on the responses of VSEs to a questionnaire sent to them by the CGEM and banking institutions.
The meeting was dedicated to companies concerned with the growth of their activity and the socio-economic emergence of their region. It aimed at consolidating the relationships of VSEs with their partners and transparency in terms of bank/company reports.
This campaign is considered a step towards establishing a philosophy of proximity and sharing, through raising awareness among VSEs regarding the importance of the support and accompaniment measures dedicated to them, operating through the mobilisation of all public and private actors and companies operating in the Souss-Massa-Draâ region.
The meeting was an opportunity to define the expectations of VSEs with regard to banking institutions. It was a question of informing VSEs about the banking offer, including the specific offer described as flexible, innovative and competitive, and responding in a relevant and adequate manner to the needs of VSEs, while ensuring quality of service in terms of advice and file processing. At the same time, the participants in the work of this meeting also looked at the expectations of banks with regard to VSEs, including transparency, visibility, governance and respect for commitments towards the various partners.
Let us recall that this edition was also part of the series of regional campaigns with a communicative and cognitive aspect, organised by the joint commission in several regions of the Kingdom in 2007 and 2011.
