Because success needs to be followed up and reiterated, Symphos 2013 returns for a second, more enriching edition. Held in Agadir from 6 to 10 May and organised by OCP, the International Symposium on Innovation and Technology in the Phosphate Industry brought together the elite of the phosphate world around a theme dear to us all: "Promoting innovation and technology for sustainable development". No fewer than 1,100 industrialists, manufacturers, equipment suppliers and researchers shared their experiences and collectively discussed the future of the phosphate industry. This panel of experts examined various issues, particularly regarding safety and the environment, the preservation of phosphate deposits, and the best way to implement efficient and sustainable operations, through plenary sessions, oral presentations and thematic workshops.
