A budget of more than 66.64 million dirhams was allocated in 2012 to the completion of a total of 90 human development projects by the Prefectural Committee for Human Development (CPDH) at the level of the Agadir Ida Outanane prefecture.
Of this amount, more than 47.66 million DH is a contribution from the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH), a statement from the prefecture indicated on Tuesday. This involves 15 projects within the framework of the programme to fight social exclusion in urban areas with more than 36.69 million DH (including more than 26.15 million DH as the INDH share), 46 projects initiated within the framework of the programme to fight poverty in rural areas with more than 19.14 million DH (including more than 13.87 million DH as the INDH share), and 29 projects within the framework of the cross-cutting programme with a budget of more than 10.80 million DH (including more than 7.27 million DH as the INDH share).
The validation of all these projects took place on Monday during a meeting of the CPDH chaired by the Wali of the Souss-Massa-Drâa region, Governor of the Agadir Ida Outanane prefecture, in the presence of elected officials, local authorities, heads of external services, presidents of local human development committees of the target communes, members of neighbourhood animation teams, and representatives of a significant associative fabric.
On this occasion, the members of the CPDH validated projects proposed by the rural commune of Tamri (North of Agadir), following modifications made to projects proposed previously during a meeting at the end of last October.
Before closing the CPDH proceedings, the Governor requested that the members of the Committee and all stakeholders work to ensure that these projects are implemented within the prescribed deadlines and under the best conditions.
