More than 17.6 million DH allocated to social projects

The Provincial Committee for Human Development (CPDH) in the province of Chtouka Aït Baha recently decided to allocate a sum of 17.6 million DH to some 70 social projects, a statement from the province indicates. These projects are divided between the transversal programme with 46 projects amounting to 6 million DH, the programme for the fight against poverty in rural areas (22 projects for 7 million DH), the programme for the fight against precariousness and exclusion (3 million DH), dedicated to the construction of the Student House in the Belfâe commune, and the urban qualification programme for the Touama district in the city of Biougra.

The INDH at the heart of actions

During the CPDH meeting, the governor of the province, Abderrahmane Benali, stressed the need to consolidate the participatory approach in the selection and implementation of projects and to intensify exchanges and communication with the population to determine their essential needs in terms of development. He also praised the support for the evaluation of the results of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) at the provincial level, the monitoring and control operations of the progress of the projects carried out, and the measurement of their impact on the target populations. Emphasis was also placed on the significant dynamic triggered by the INDH projects and their contribution to improving development indicators, particularly through the consolidation of basic infrastructure, the strengthening of access to services, the promotion of cultural and sporting activities, the creation of income-generating activities, and the promotion of employment in rural areas.
