Agadir policewomen celebrate International Women's Day

On the occasion of International Women's Day, and under instructions from the General Directorate of National Security, open days were organised throughout the Kingdom.
Agadir policewomen celebrate International Women's Day

It is within this framework that the celebration of Women's Day by all the female staff of the Agadir police prefecture took place this year.

To do this, the organisers chose the Al Wahda square on the Agadir corniche, a place very frequented by the Gadiri population and tourists staying in the capital of the Souss, who were, moreover, numerous to visit the stands set up for this occasion: Scientific and technical police; unit for the fight against violence against children and women; residence and visa service; recruitment and competition service; traffic accident services; road traffic brigade; documentation and identity document service; general intelligence service.

This vast communication operation aims to better bring this public service closer to citizens and, consequently, to highlight the leading and often unknown role that women play within the various services of the police prefecture.

Indeed, the day when the very first policewomen in uniform appeared, organising traffic with a professionalism that has nothing to envy their male colleagues, is long gone. Today, women are present in all services and assume responsibilities in the same way as men. And it is precisely this aspect that was highlighted during this "Open Day" to which the policewoman brought her personal touch.

Aware of the role that the police play in society by ensuring, in particular, the peace and security of citizens and their property, the Gadiris, who were numerous to have visited the stands set up for this occasion, did not fail to praise this happy initiative of the police officials, while presenting their warm congratulations to the policewomen of the Agadir police prefecture. The press also joined the women to congratulate them by offering them flowers on this occasion.
