The Minister of Agriculture, Maritime Fisheries, Rural Development and Water and Forests, Mr. Ahmed El Bouari, paid a field visit on Friday, March 21, to the prefecture of Meknes and the provinces of El Hajeb and Ifrane to assess the progress of the agricultural campaign and the impact of recent rainfall.
According to a statement from the ministry, this visit aimed to assess the effects of recent rains on various crops, including cereals, oilseeds, and fruit trees, while allowing for a direct exchange with farmers and breeders in the region.
Official data indicate that the significant rainfall recorded in recent weeks in the Fès-Meknès region, with an average accumulation of 332.5 mm, has significantly improved vegetation after a start to the season marked by a rainfall deficit.
