Mohamed Saad Berrada, Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports, chaired at the headquarters of the Draa-Tafilalet Regional Council in Errachidia, the proceedings of the ordinary session of the Administrative Council of the Regional Academy of Education and Training for the Draa-Tafilalet region, in the presence of the Wali of the region, the governors of the region's provinces, the director of the Regional Academy, the provincial directors, and all members of the Academy's Administrative Council.
During the opening of the session, the Minister thanked all members of the Administrative Council for their ongoing commitment to implementing the educational reform projects of the 2022-2026 Roadmap.
According to a statement issued by the Regional Academy of Education and Training on the sidelines of the opening of the ordinary session, the Minister of National Education, Preschool and Sports said that "the holding of the administrative councils of the regional academies is of particular importance as it constitutes a key milestone for strengthening efforts to accelerate the pace of educational reform, through the effective implementation of the 2022-2026 Roadmap projects in harmony with the strategic orientations, which aim to achieve the desired transformation within classrooms".
He added that this meeting is an opportunity to conduct a field assessment of the implementation of various reform projects, praising the pivotal role of education and training staff, and their continuous efforts to ensure the success of educational reform projects. He highlighted the importance of joint work and effective engagement in upgrading the educational system for a quality public school for all.
In the context of the session's proceedings, Moulay El Ati El Asfar, Director of the Regional Academy of Education and Training for the Draa-Tafilalet region, reviewed the interim results of the implementation of the 2022-2026 Roadmap and the execution of the 2023-2024 procedural program, in addition to the draft regional action plan and the 2025 budget project, as well as the draft regional plan for continuous training for the year 2025.
During the discussion, members of the Administrative Council expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by the Academy and confirmed their commitment to supporting various projects aimed at upgrading the education and training system in the region, according to the statement of which Hespress received a copy.
The proceedings of the Administrative Council resulted in the unanimous approval of the draft action plan and the 2025 budget, and the draft regional plan for continuous training for the year 2025. Performance contract addenda were also signed between Minister Berrada, the Director of the Academy, the Director of the Regional Centre for Education and Training Professions, and the provincial directors, with the aim of strengthening governance and ensuring the achievement of the set objectives.
A series of partnership and cooperation agreements were also signed, most notably with the Draa-Tafilalet Regional Council for the rehabilitation and construction of educational institutions, with the Regional Investment Centre to enhance guidance and develop an entrepreneurial spirit among learners, and with the National Agency for the Development of Oasis Zones and Argan Trees to improve schooling conditions, especially in preschool education and school transport. The partnerships also included the Faculty of Sciences and Techniques in Errachidia to support access to scientific laboratories, and the company "Yool Education" to promote educational excellence for the benefit of students.
At the end of the session, the various parties confirmed their commitment to implementing the educational reform projects in accordance with the 2022-2026 Roadmap, stressing the importance of coordination between stakeholders to achieve a quality public school that ensures equity and equal opportunities for all learners in the Draa-Tafilalet region.
