The INDH approaches its third phase

The INDH approaches its third phase

The Provincial Committee for Human Development recently held a meeting devoted to the assessment of its activities during previous years and the perspectives of the third phase of the INDH (2016-2020). It emerges that the objectives of the National Initiative for Human Development, both in the rural world and in the urban perimeter, have been achieved at all levels.

In this sense, the audience followed a presentation relating all the income-generating activities (AGR) created during the 2005-2010 and 2011-2015 phases. In total, 129 projects with a total cost exceeding 44 million DH were realized. The contribution of the INDH amounts to more than 33 million DH and the number of beneficiaries has exceeded 5,000 people. The audience also noted that the evolution of AGRs had been more than 190% between the first and second phase of the INDH and that the volume of financing had recorded a growth of 482%.

"Income-generating activities have occupied a priority place in the various programs aiming particularly at the reduction of unemployment, by opening new perspectives based on creativity in the economic field", stressed Abdellatif Chadali, Governor of the Khouribga province. He also suggested the introduction of scientific and operational methods, accompanied by a new advocacy technique in order to offer more equality and opportunities to future beneficiaries.

Given the justified evolution of associations to become cooperatives, a new training and support program should be put in place with the goal of strengthening the capacities of local actors. Something that will require the mobilization of officials at all levels and the increase of the training budget.

As for the third phase of the INDH (2016-2020), this will see the strengthening of monitoring tools, the development of marketing techniques through the establishment of agreements with experts in the field.
