Chtouka-Aït Baha: 3.7 million dirhams for the upgrading of artisanal fishing
A budget of 3.7 million dirhams (MDH) has been allocated to the upgrading of the artisanal fishing sector in the province of Chtouka-Aït Baha. In this sense, several projects have been launched for the benefit of cooperatives active in the field of artisanal fishing, indicated the Social Action Division of the province of Chtouka-Aït Baha, specifying that these projects were carried out in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development during its third phase (2.2 MDH) and other partners (1.5 MDH).

These projects notably concern the rehabilitation of the production chain through the renewal of the fleet, engines, and various equipment used by professionals in the artisanal fishing sector.

According to the beneficiary cooperatives, these projects have contributed significantly to the valorization of artisanal fishing products, the improvement of working conditions, and the strengthening of the safety system for the benefit of sailors.
