The protesters gathered in an escalatory sit-in in front of the provincial headquarters, where they shackled their hands with chains as a symbolic gesture to draw the authorities' attention to their demands.
In a statement by one of the members of the regional coordination for the unemployed, he explained that this step comes as a reaction to what he described as the "policy of ignorance" pursued by the provincial authorities towards their demands, which he considers legitimate and fair.
