The government has ignored a proposal from the Ombudsman institution (Al-Wassit) regarding the "establishment of an integrated tool to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the actual and/or potential difficulties in accessing public services during the post-Al Haouz earthquake phase."
The Ombudsman institution stated that, based on the provisions of Article 162 of the Constitution and in implementation of the tasks and powers granted to the Ombudsman by the laws governing the institution, it decided in 2023, as a proactive body, to address seven issues that captured its attention. It initiated proposals for these, some of which the government responded to, some of which it only interacted with by referring the topics to the concerned sectors, and some for which it received no response.
