Cybersecurity experts and civil society actors debated on Friday in Casablanca the challenges posed by the digital economy as well as its impact on the labour market, as part of a round table organised by the 21st Century Youth Association.
During this meeting held under the aegis of the Ministry of Digital Transition and Administration Reform, the speakers deemed it necessary to reflect on the challenges and opportunities of the digital transition while advocating for an assessment of the state of the digital economy, as well as cybersecurity and digital trust.
In a statement to MAP, the president of the 21st Century Youth Association, Aziz Fekaki, indicated that this debate seeks to highlight the importance of the digital economy in job creation, noting that training in this area is particularly aimed at students and young people.
He added that the digital transition promotes regional development and perfectly meets the expectations of young people.
For his part, Hicham Fayek, a cybersecurity expert, noted the relevance of this debate, as it is part of the implementation of the national digital transition strategy, noting that it allows young people to better understand the importance of cybersecurity.
Hence, for him, the need to train young people and support them in the field of digitalisation in order to take advantage of the opportunities offered by digital technologies, in addition to promoting employment.
