The board of directors of Raja Casablanca will submit its resignation on February 5th during an extraordinary general assembly for the sporting season, the club announced in a statement.
The statement, published on the club's official page, specifies that the agenda for this assembly will include the resignation of the current board of directors, led by Adil Hala.
This decision follows pressure from supporters, who called for his departure due to the deterioration of the club's sporting and financial situation.
According to the statement, the agenda for this assembly will also include verifying the legal quorum, appointing the session secretary and scrutineers, the president's opening speech, the official announcement of the board's resignation, and the appointment of an interim management committee pending the holding of an ordinary general assembly.
Note that Raja was eliminated yesterday from the group stage of the CAF Champions League, finishing in third place behind the qualifiers, AS FAR and South Africa's Mamelodi Sundowns.
The last match, which pitted Raja against the Congolese side Maniema and ended in a 1-0 victory for the Green Eagles on the final day of the group stage, revived criticism from supporters. The latter pointed the finger at the technical performances of several players and held President Hala responsible due to the poor management of the summer transfer window.
