China Eastern Airlines launches a new Shanghai-Casablanca route

The China Eastern Airlines group, through its subsidiary Shanghai Airlines, will inaugurate a new air route between Shanghai and Casablanca starting 19 January, according to Chinese media. This announcement marks an important step in strengthening air links between China and Morocco.
This long-haul flight, which will be operated three times a week (Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays), will connect Shanghai Pudong International Airport to Mohammed V International Airport in Casablanca, with a stopover in Marseille.
According to Shine, a site affiliated with the Shanghai Daily (the largest English-language newspaper in eastern China), departures from Shanghai will take place at 1:55 AM (local time) for a landing in Casablanca at 1:10 PM (local time). Flights departing from Casablanca will take off at 5:10 PM (local time) to arrive in Shanghai the next day at 4:50 PM (local time).
