The aforementioned convention provides for the organization of events and activities aimed at contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage and raising awareness among younger generations about its importance, notably through events such as the "Heritage Month," scheduled this year from April 18 to May 18.
This partnership also aspires to strengthen cultural tourism and support economic dynamics by encouraging local industries and arts related to Moroccan heritage and traditions. It further aims to promote artistic and cultural creativity, support cultural initiatives, and involve various cultural actors at the Casablanca-Settat region level to contribute to cultural animation.
Speaking on this occasion, the Regional Director of Culture in Casablanca-Settat, Hafida Khouyi, indicated that "This convention is part of the framework for the preservation and valorization of intangible cultural heritage. It reinforces the commitment of the Department of Culture and civil society to the promotion and protection of the multiple components of our rich cultural heritage."
"This partnership provides for the implementation of various programs, notably the celebration of 'Heritage Month,' the organization of meetings, guided tours, and awareness-raising actions on the importance of this heritage," she noted in a statement to MAP.
"This day marks an exceptional moment for the Instance with the signing of a partnership that we qualify as strategic. It is an innovative convention that represents a true roadmap for the future of the craft and culture sector," emphasized, for his part, the President of the National Instance of Artisans and Craft Industry, Aityachou Mohamed.
He added, in a similar statement, that "Craftsmanship is intrinsically linked to culture, reflecting both a tangible and intangible heritage of inestimable richness. This collaboration paves the way for an integrated approach, where craftsmanship becomes a key vector for the promotion and preservation of our cultural identity."
Both parties affirm that this convention will constitute a solid foundation for showcasing the treasures of Moroccan craftsmanship and unveiling its multiple facets, while working to strengthen their partnership to multiply initiatives in this direction.
