A security source stated that the police services in Casablanca had received a notification regarding the involvement of a group of people affiliated with football club fan factions in an exchange of violence, stone-throwing, and endangering the safety of people, which required the immediate intervention of police patrols to enforce public order.
He added that these criminal acts caused injuries to a police officer and material damage to a law enforcement vehicle, while searches and investigations led to the arrest of nine of the suspects, and the discovery in their possession of a bladed weapon, two smoke bombs, and a quantity of stones.
The arrested suspects were subjected to a judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor's office, in order to uncover all the circumstances and backgrounds of this case, while searches and investigations are still ongoing to arrest the rest of the participants and contributors to the commission of these criminal acts.
