Hafeez Abdel Sadiq has been appointed assistant coach of Raja de Casablanca, the green club announced in a statement that highlights the current situation of the first team, marked by a decline in performance this season, deemed incompatible with the efforts made and the expectations of the supporters.
According to this statement published late on the night of Tuesday, December 18, the club's management held intensive meetings to conduct a comprehensive and precise assessment of the situation. These discussions led to a series of important measures.
Among these decisions is a revision of the first team's technical system, with a new structuring of the work method. The club has also decided to recruit a sporting director capable of meeting the requirements of the current phase, thus filling the void left at the level of the first team's supervision committee.
To strengthen the technical staff, the club announced the appointment of national cadre Hafeez Abdel Sadiq as assistant coach. The steering committee also insisted on the need to remove obstacles and work seriously to achieve the club's objectives and restore its balance.
The club's management is committed to maintaining continuous communication with members and supporters, while opening channels of dialogue to discuss new developments and upcoming events, in order to find effective solutions allowing Raja to return to its usual level, worthy of its status and prestigious history.
Raja supporters were expecting strong decisions regarding the future of coach Ricardo Sá Pinto and the current management committee, given the team's disappointing start to the season in the African Champions League and the Moroccan championship.
Furthermore, the meeting that took place the day before yesterday between the president of Raja, Adel Hala, and the Portuguese coach Ricardo Sá Pinto did not lead to an agreement for an amicable separation. The coach insisted on respecting the terms of his contract, demanding either to continue his mandate or to receive the full penalty clause.
