Red meat prices continue to fall in Casablanca

The City of Casablanca provides citizens with a weekly bulletin of wholesale prices for the most in-demand meats, fruits, and vegetables in the markets. Prices are provided for indicative purposes and may vary depending on the quality of the product and its origin. Note that these prices are only valid for the wholesale market and not for retailers.
Red meat price drop
Indicative prices for sheep meat have seen a further drop of about 5 DH this week, with a price ranging between 110 and 115 DH/kg. Those for beef have fallen by 6 DH, with a minimum price of 82 DH/kg and a maximum of 90 DH/kg. Vegetables: price drop for carrots and potatoes, rise for cucumbers
Prices for carrots have fallen by 0.50 DH/kg, going from 2.50 DH/kg last week to 2 DH/kg this week. Potatoes follow the same trend with a drop of 50 centimes, reaching 4 DH/kg against 4.50 DH previously. Courgettes, meanwhile, are stabilizing at 4.00 DH/kg after a slight fluctuation. Conversely, cucumbers recorded a rise of 0.50 DH/kg, settling at 4.50 DH/kg against 4 DH/kg the previous week. Fruits: general stability, drop for avocados
Only avocados show a price drop this week, going from 17 DH/kg to 16 DH/kg. Prices for other fruits remain stable: imported bananas at 13 DH/kg, local bananas at 7 DH/kg, oranges at 4 DH/kg, local apples at 11 DH/kg, and premium imported bananas at 21 DH/kg.
