Wydad Casablanca suffered a heavy home defeat against Maghreb Fès (MAS) with a score of 4 goals to 1, Saturday evening at the Larbi Zaouli stadium in Casablanca, for the 16th day of the Botola Pro D1 "Inwi" football league.
The men of South African coach Rulani Mokwena opened the scoring in the 21st minute through Mohammed Rayhi, before the Botswanan Kabelo Seakanyeng equalised in the 39th minute. The Yellow and Blacks sealed the match in their favour by scoring three goals thanks to Mohammed El Badaoui (76th, 90+9th) and Hamid Ahaddad (82nd). The Red and Whites finished the match with ten men after the expulsion of Ismail Benktib in the 11th minute.
Thanks to this success, MAS climbs to 5th place with 25 points, one point ahead of their opponent of the day. Earlier, Renaissance Zemamra struck hard by winning at home against COD Meknès by 3 goals to 2. This victory allows RCAZ to displace AS FAR from 2nd place (28 pts). The military club will host the bottom of the table, Chabab Mohammedia, on Sunday (18:00).
For its part, FUS Rabat won the capital derby against Union Touarga (2-0). FUS occupies 4th place with 26 points, while the Tourouguis remain in 10th position (19 pts).
For its part, Ittihad Tanger signed a precious victory, the 4th of the season, at the expense of Hassania Agadir (1-0). The Tangier club is 11th with 19 points, while HUSA is in 12th place (17 pts).
