The Casablanca Stock Exchange started in positive territory on Wednesday, with its main index, the MASI, gaining 0.18% to 14,661.45 points (pts).
The MASI.20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, rose by 0.29% to 1,185.57 pts, and the MASI ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, gained 0.24% to 1,036.58 pts.
On the other hand, the MASI Mid and Small Cap, a thematic index measuring the performance of small and medium-sized companies listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, fell by 0.43% to 1,477.68 pts.
Regarding individual stocks, LafargeHolcim Maroc (+3.3% to 1,973 DH), Stokvis Nord Afrique (+3.25% to 16.52 DH), Cosumar (+2.15% to 190 DH), Réalisations Mécaniques (+1.95% to 419 DH), and Attijariwafa Bank (+0.88% to 575 DH) achieved the best performances.
Conversely, the sharpest declines were recorded by Crédit du Maroc (-3.42% to 927.2 DH), Ennakl (-3.04% to 32.86 DH), Colorado (-2.02% to 51.9 DH), Microdata (-1.69% to 639 DH), and Mutandis (-1.67% to 295 DH).
The previous day, the MASI had ended with a loss of 0.58%.
