The Casablanca Stock Exchange started in positive territory on Monday, with its main index, the MASI, rising by 0.51% to 14,779.67 points (pts).
At the start of this session, marked by the first listing of the CMGP group (Compagnie Marocaine de Goute a Goute et de Pompage), the MASI.20, which includes the 20 most liquid stocks, advanced by 0.6% to 1,200.38 pts, and the MASI ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating published by Moody’s ESG Solutions, improved by 0.47% to 1,049.02 pts.
The MASI Mid and Small Cap, a thematic index measuring the performance of small and medium-sized enterprises listed on the Casablanca Stock Exchange, increased by 0.3% to 1,485.21 pts.
Regarding individual stocks, Cartier Saada (+3.48% to 34.2 DH), Résidences Dar Saada (+3.16% to 81.35 DH), Involys (+3.04% to 98.99 DH), Cosumar (+2.78% to 196 DH), and Sonasid (+2.54% to 964.9 DH) achieved the best performances.
Conversely, the sharpest declines were recorded by M2M Group (-8.78% to 503.1 DH), Stokvis Nord Afrique (-6.31% to 15.45 DH), Ib Maroc.com (-4.32% to 33.01 DH), SMI (-3% to 2,008 DH), and Aluminium du Maroc (-2.84% to 1,402 DH).
On Friday, the MASI had closed with a gain of 0.18%.
