A joint committee chaired by the Pashas of the Sidi Bernoussi/Sidi Moumen region and the heads of the communes, under the supervision of the Governor of the region with the Secretary-General and the Head of Internal Affairs, and with the support of the Caids and auxiliary agents belonging to the territorial jurisdiction of the region, is conducting a large-scale campaign to liberate public property and restore the situation to its normal state.
Our sources reported that the committee tasked with combating the phenomenon of public property occupation, which has become rampant in the prefecture, began its work in the industrial district and extended to the districts of Bernoussi and Sidi Moumen and the surroundings of markets, squares, and public gardens, pending its generalisation to extend inside the markets and the Qaysariyas, while verifying exploitation licenses as well as trade practice licenses.
In the same context, one of the representatives of the association of merchants of the Tariq and Al-Amal Qaysariyas and the Qaysariyas of the Tacharouk region and central Sidi Moumen explained, in a press statement, that the local authorities and their agents are carrying out a campaign to liberate public property at the level of streets and public squares surrounding the markets and Qaysariyas, to confront the state of chaos and legal violation related to the encroachment on public property.
