According to a security source, the identification operation revealed that the suspect (31 years old), who had a criminal record, was wanted nationwide in connection with two cases of drug and psychotropic trafficking.
According to preliminary investigations, the suspect, who was driving a rental car, got into an altercation with employees of a fast-food restaurant in Ain Sebaa for blocking traffic in the service area. The suspect then rammed the employees, injuring four of them and causing material damage to the shop window of the premises.
The investigation led to the identification and arrest of the suspect in another vehicle, after he abandoned the rental car used in these criminal acts, explains the same source, adding that, at the time of his arrest, the suspect had in his possession 44 doses of "pufa" and pieces of chira, as well as a sum of money allegedly from drug and psychotropic trafficking.
The suspect was placed in police custody for the purposes of the judicial investigation being carried out under the supervision of the competent prosecutor's office to clarify the ins and outs of this case, the security source concluded.
