This establishment, under the provincial directorate of National Education, Preschool and Sports of El Jadida, took first place in the grand prize category of this cultural and educational event.
Organised under the theme "Nkhdem Bladi", the event brought together participants from the various provincial directorates of the Regional Academy of Education and Training (AREF) of Casablanca-Settat.
In the same category, the second prize was awarded to the Muadh Ibn Jabal establishment of Settat for their play "The Origin of the Story", while third place went to the play "The Wave", performed by the Ibn Duraid establishment, under the provincial directorate of Moulay Rachid.
Among the other distinctions, the play "The Wings of the Atlas" by the Al-Qanadra school group (Sidi Bennour provincial directorate) won the prize for best text. The play "Drop of Hope" by the Idriss Al Harizi establishment (Nouaceur provincial directorate) was awarded for its costumes, while the script and set design of the play "It is in my blood" by the Ali Ibn Abi Talib school (Berrechid provincial directorate) were also rewarded.
The prize for best direction was awarded to the Lissour establishment (Benslimane provincial directorate) for their play "Journey into Space".
Regarding acting, Yasmine Kadouri from the Mohamed Al-Baroudi school (Al Fida-Mers Sultan provincial directorate) won the prize for best actress, while Yassine Aït Bouhou, from the Al Mandhar Al Aam establishment (Ain Chock provincial directorate), received the prize for best actor.
On this occasion, the director of the AREF of Casablanca-Settat, Abdelmoumen Taleb, expressed his satisfaction with the organisation of this event in partnership with the Fondation des Arts Vivants, and with the support of the Regional Council and the Zakoura Foundation.
He emphasised, in a statement to the press, that this festival constitutes an opportunity to raise students' awareness of the values of citizenship and inform them about the development projects currently underway in the Kingdom.
Mr. Taleb indicated that 160 preschool and primary school teachers benefited from training in theatre and school animation as part of the preparations for this event. These training sessions are part of the implementation of the 2022-2026 roadmap, aiming to multiply the number of students participating in school life activities in educational establishments.
For his part, the president of the Fondation des Arts Vivants, Noureddine Ayouch, highlighted the importance of this cultural and educational initiative.
Mr. Ayouch, also founder and member of the board of directors of the Zakoura Foundation, affirmed that theatre is an essential tool for shaping a child's personality and anchoring in them the values of openness and citizenship.
The president of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council, Abdellatif Maâzouz, for his part, highlighted the positive impact of extracurricular activities on the development and flourishing of children, while highlighting the fundamental role of theatre in refining talents and the personal development of students.
The closing ceremony took place in the presence of a number of personalities, notably the president of the Casablanca-Settat Regional Council, Abdellatif Maâzouz, the president of the Casablanca Communal Council, Nabila Rmili, the director of the AREF, Abdelmoumen Taleb, the president of the Fondation des Arts Vivants, Noureddine Ayouch, in addition to a host of artists, educational staff, parents of students participating in this event, and representatives of civil society.
