For its part, the "MASI.20" index, which reflects the performance of 20 listed companies, recorded an increase of 0.21 per cent to 1,186.61 points, while the MASI.ESG, an index of companies with the best ESG rating, advanced by 0.25 per cent to settle at 1,037.46 points.
 In contrast, "MASI Mid and Small Cap", the index for the performance of small and medium-sized listed companies, fell by 0.09 per cent to settle at 1,491.98 points.
The "MASI" index had ended Thursday's trading with a gain of 0.3 per cent.
The Casablanca Stock Exchange started its trading on Friday with a positive performance, as its main index "MASI" rose by 0.12 per cent to settle at 14,672.75 points.
