Taxes and fees

1- Fishing license fees: The amount varies depending on the vessel's gross tonnage and fishing type. The General Treasury is the collecting authority (Decree No. 2.92.1026 of 4 Rajab 1413 (December 29, 1992) establishing the conditions and procedures for issuing and renewing fishing licenses in the Exclusive Economic Zone). 2- Fee for scientific research related to fishing: 65% of the fishing license fee, the amount varies according to the vessel's gross tonnage and fishing type. The General Treasury is the collecting authority (Decree No. 2.02.770 of 2 Shaaban 1423 (October 9, 2002) amending and supplementing Decree No. 2.5.836 of 1 Jumada II 1417 (October 14, 1996) establishing a quasi-tax for the National Institute of Fisheries Research called "Fee for scientific research related to fishing"). 4- A lump-sum annual financial consideration representing the right of access for Russian fishing vessels to Morocco's Atlantic fishing zone. 5- Fishing royalties are paid in advance on a monthly basis according to the quota allocated to each vessel.
