The conscripts, numbering 351, underwent initial military training over the past four months, which included several theoretical and practical activities, mainly focusing on military drills and combat arts, citizenship education, and physical education to foster a sense of responsibility and discipline.
The second phase of training (8 months) will be dedicated to vocational training in various specialities, taking into account the conscripts' qualifications and educational levels.
In a speech addressed to the conscripts during the swearing-in ceremony, the delegated commander of the Rabat-Salé military garrison, Brigadier General Abdelhak Fedda, urged the conscripts to grasp the deep significance of this oath, which is considered "the strong charter and the eternal covenant that binds you to our beloved King, His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Supreme Commander and Chief of the General Staff of the Royal Armed Forces".
Brigadier General Fedda, during this ceremony, which was attended by, among others, the head of the training centre for social services of the Royal Armed Forces, Colonel Jawad Braidi, called on them to continue their efforts during the vocational training phase to fully benefit from the programmes and resources provided by the Royal Armed Forces, praising the officers, non-commissioned officers, and soldiers who supervised the training and guidance of the conscripts.
For their part, several instructors and conscripts expressed, in statements to the Moroccan News Agency (MAP), their pride in belonging to the Royal Armed Forces family, praising the quality of guidance and training that helped them integrate into the military lifestyle, respect hierarchy, engage in sports, and adopt other healthy habits and noble values.
They affirmed, in the same context, that they look forward to completing the second phase of training to acquire practical skills and scientific competencies that will enhance their chances of success in entering the job market or achieving self-employment projects.
In this regard, conscript Wiam Al-Attar, a student non-commissioned officer, praised the smooth running of the military training, noting that the training and lessons related to military security, general discipline, moral education, and sports enabled the conscripts to integrate "smoothly and quickly".
She also pointed out that her participation in military service opened the door for her to participate in the National Conscripts Games competition, recently organised, where she won a bronze medal.
For her part, the centre's instructor, First Lieutenant Widian Bayad, stated that the conscripts demonstrated "seriousness, discipline, and positive interaction with the training content", as well as their determination to follow the military training programme, indicating that the instructors were keen to closely and continuously monitor the conscripts in all their daily activities to ensure they completed this training in the best possible conditions.
At the end of the basic joint training phase ceremony for the 39th contingent, the conscripts performed a military parade at the training centre for social services of the Royal Armed Forces – Témara.
