The Tangier Communal Council approved, during the proceedings of its ordinary session for the month of October, yesterday, Thursday, the draft budget of the commune for the 2027 fiscal year, with total revenue estimates of approximately 1.242 billion dirhams, in an exceptional context that the commune is experiencing against the backdrop of the judicial situation of the city's mayor, Mounir Laymouri.
The session was held hours after the decision of the investigating judge at the Tangier Court of Appeal to place Laymouri, the mayor of Tangier and a leader in the Authenticity and Modernity Party, in pre-trial detention, against the backdrop of the ongoing judicial investigations into the case of ballot papers seized in the vicinity of the Al-Quds institution during the legislative elections of September 23.
