The 11th edition on 8 and 9 May at the RCG Tangier

The Consulate General of Spain in Tangier is organising, in partnership with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Tangier (CECIT), the 11th Strait Golf Cup on 8 and 9 May. A tournament marked by the participation of 20 professional golfers and 120 Moroccan and Spanish amateurs, including Johan Cruyff.

With the aim of promoting the tourist attractiveness of Tangier and the relations of friendship linking the south of Spain to the north of Morocco, the Consulate General of Spain in Tangier is organising, in partnership with the Spanish Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Tangier (CECIT) and the Cervantes Association of Hispano-Moroccan Friendship of Tangier, the 11th edition of the Strait Golf Trophy which will take place on 8 and 9 May at the Royal Country Club of Golf of Tangier. The competition, which will be played in PRO-AM, will see the participation of 20 professional golfers, including 11 Spaniards such as Manuel Pinero, three-time world champion, Alejandro Canizares, and Santiago Luna, who won the Hassan II Trophy three times.

The event will see the presence of 9 Moroccan professionals, led by Younes Hassani from Tangier, and 120 Moroccan and Spanish amateur golfers, including the former world football star, of Ajax and FC Barcelona, Johan Cruyff, who will be the guest of honour of this trophy. Note that the budget allocated to this event is 750,000 dirhams.
