Tangier Twiza Festival: Return to African roots
To introduce Amazigh culture and allow it to meet the cultures of the rest of the Mediterranean, Africa, and the world, such is the main objective of the Twiza Festival of Tangier, organised for its 10th edition from 14 to 17 August 2014. At the origin of this event is the Foundation of the Mediterranean Festival of Amazigh Culture of Tangier. The latter has chosen to honour Africa by planning a series of conferences-debates and round tables around the theme "Africa for Africans". "Today, for our tenth anniversary, we have insisted on focusing on Plural Morocco and its belonging to Africa, through the powerful historical ties that we maintain with our continent and the economic and cultural exchange that must imperatively continue to develop between all African cultures," stresses Fouad Omari, president of the Foundation.
