The administrative and teaching staff of the El Hidaya high school in Safi has just observed a two-day strike with the organisation of a sit-in on 07 March 2012 in front of the province headquarters as a sign of protest against the situation of their establishment, which can no longer fulfil its mission under normal conditions.

The protesters are raising numerous problems: disturbance, nuisance, provocation and danger. A deplorable state of affairs due to the encirclement of the high school by an anarchic market where noise, waste and aggressive behaviour reign. On the other hand, the civil servants and pupils mentioned the problem of transport due to the lack of proximity of urban transport lines. While expressing their fed-up attitude and their feelings of insecurity due to the security problems linked to drug dealers in the surroundings of the high school.
