His Majesty the King inaugurates the Maroc Telecom Tower in Rabat

The new headquarters of the Maroc Telecom group, this glass tower, designed to be a showcase of the experience and know-how of the Kingdom's historic telecommunications operator, integrates technologies allowing for better energy efficiency. Reduction of energy consumption, optimal water management, acoustic and thermal comfort, and security are the main points observed in the design of this imposing 23-level building, created by internationally renowned architects and companies. Built on a total area of 5 hectares, the Maroc Telecom Tower, which can accommodate more than 800 people, will bring together the operator's services previously spread across several buildings in Rabat, thus allowing for an improvement in working conditions for employees and the company's performance. In addition to offices, the new building includes a national network supervision room, meeting spaces, a restaurant, and a telecommunications museum containing a rich collection of objects that trace the technological evolution of telecoms in Morocco. An auditorium, with a capacity of 600 seats, has been installed in a circular building at the foot of the Tower. It was built to be as modular and flexible as possible to host various events (conferences, concerts, shows, or even film screenings). An eco-responsible and civic project, a source of technology and innovation, the Maroc Telecom Tower received a special mention from the jury for the "Grand Prix for Very High Buildings" at the Ecobuilding forum in Paris. On this occasion, the Chairman of the Management Board of Maroc Telecom, Abdeslam Ahizoune, presented HM the King with a candlestick telephone from the early 20th century and a commemorative medal bearing the image of the Sovereign.
