Disrupted traffic, blocked roads, it is snowing and raining in Morocco. The drop in temperature across the entire territory is making as many people happy as it is unhappy. While in the most remote regions, people are complaining about the exorbitant prices of firewood, unheated classrooms where schoolchildren are shivering, and a lack of food due to the rain and snow blocking the roads, in other corners, it is a question of winter sports and inns that are experiencing unparalleled growth during this period. Situated at an altitude between 2,600 m for the plateau and 3,270 m for the summit, the Oukaïmeden ski resort aims to be one of the most picturesque and frequently visited tourist sites in winter, by many tourists, both national and foreign, in search of tranquillity and a change of scenery. Its proximity to the ochre city at just 74 km away, its geographical position as the highest ski resort in Africa, and the diversity of the natural landscapes it contains are all factors that continue to encourage many visitors to pack their bags and hit the road to get there, especially during weekends and holidays. The city of Ifrane, for its part, is experiencing a very large influx of visitors who, as every year, are enjoying the joys and delights of winter sports. Thus, at the Michlifen ski resort and the Djebel Habri resort, they can easily practise their favourite sporting activity and indulge to their heart's content in skiing, sledging, or simply giving free rein to their imagination by creating snowmen.
