Oukaïmeden reaches an altitude of 3,200 metres at the top of the resort, and is part of the High Atlas mountain range. The ski area, located between 2,500 and 3,200 metres above sea level, is the best equipped and snow-covered in Morocco[citation needed]. It covers approximately 300 hectares which are concentrated on the northern flank of Oukaïmeden.
