Arrest and prosecution of contractors who defrauded Al Haouz earthquake victims – Al Yaoum 24

Victims of the Al Haouz earthquake have been subjected to fraud by contractors who received funds without building homes for them, prompting authorities to arrest one of them and prosecute others. The Minister of Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit, stated that an investigation showed that one contractor residing in the Douar of Bouzouk Ait Mellou defrauded 14 beneficiaries from the Douar of Taghzout in the commune of Amgdal, and 4 beneficiaries from the Douar of Tinmel in the commune of Talat N'Yaaqoub, due to his breach of the contracts he signed with them individually.
