The military field hospital in Ouaouizeght set up on the High instructions of HM King Mohammed VI to provide all necessary aid to populations affected by the cold, illustrates the High Royal solicitude towards the inhabitants of the mountainous regions under the province of Azilal, affected by the cold wave prevailing in this area.

This mobile medical unit, which is part of the efforts aimed at providing aid to the inhabitants of the communes affected by the cold, works to welcome the sick and provide them with the necessary care, and this for the opening up of the inhabitants of the douars in mountain areas who cannot travel to the hospitals and hospitals of the nearest cities, because of these unfavourable climatic conditions.

According to Colonel Abdessamad Mouachour, chief physician of the military field hospital, set up on 18 February, this unit welcomes between 300 and 350 patients each day from the inhabitants of the douars under the province of Azilal.

This multidisciplinary medical unit, which has an operating theatre and a hospitalisation ward with a capacity of 30 beds, works to provide the necessary care in several specialties including: gynaecology, paediatrics, ENT, cardiology, gastrology, dermatology, pneumology, and traumatology, specified Colonel Mouachour.

Most of the cases treated by the hospital concern diseases caused by the cold wave, he added, reporting the mobilisation of the medical team and local authorities to succeed in this humanitarian operation and provide medical services to the populations in better conditions.

The inhabitants of these mountainous areas (Ouaouizeght, Tagleft, Anregui, Ait Oukabli, Zaouia Ait Ahansal, Ait Bouguemez, and Ait Mhamed), who have gone to this hospital since the first days of its installation, have expressed their gratitude for the High Royal solicitude in favour of this region.
