Some 9 people, including two young women, members of a gang specialising in car theft and drug trafficking, were arrested by elements of the judicial police of the regional security district of Nador, we learn from a judicial source. According to the same source, the members of the gang were specialised in the theft of Mercedes 240, 250, and 190 cars which they resold to drug traffickers. They even sometimes bartered, exchanging cars for drugs which they resold in the Nador and Driouech region. Still according to the same judicial source, only one member of this gang was arrested by young people from the Al Matar neighbourhood when he was preparing to get his hands on a Mercedes 250 belonging to a father living in the same neighbourhood. A second thug took to his heels. An investigation was launched after the arrest of the first suspect. According to the same judicial source, the investigation resulted in the arrest of the 9 suspects and the seizure of 3 cars, all Mercedes, a hunting rifle, a quantity of hashish, and bladed weapons. Two other suspects, members of this gang, are actively sought.
