The “Soukour Athletics Association of Mohammedia” recently organised, in partnership with the Moroccan Sports Association for Children, the first edition of “Kids' Athletics” in the city of Fédala. According to the organisers, this sporting activity aims to detect Morocco's future athletes. “This initiative creates a climate of competition among children and encourages them to take a greater interest in sport, particularly athletics,” highlights Rachida Sahraoui of the Soukour Athletics Association. The competition brought together nearly 60 children representing six primary school associations from the City of Flowers at the Moulay Hassan Park. In a friendly atmosphere, the pupils discovered the various sporting activities scheduled under the supervision of members of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), Azzeddine and Mohammed Farissy.

At the end of the competition, pupils from the “Al Mahd” school won first place with 38 points.

Participation certificates and medals were distributed to all the budding athletes.
