A city that is selling off its heritage wealth

Demographic growth and increased urbanisation have transformed the city of Mohammedia by altering its authentic appearance. Certain buildings in the city and old structures of historical and architectural interest have been forgotten and have not been rehabilitated to strengthen the inhabitants' sense of belonging to their city and to associate its heritage with its development.

The current situation of certain old buildings and monuments calls on the services concerned to commit themselves more to reconciling Mohammedia with its history by valuing its heritage wealth, which makes its originality and strength.
