Closing of the cultural season of the city of daisies

The Moroccan actress Latifa Ahrar found the right words to describe the atmosphere that reigned that evening in this temple of culture: "This place which was previously a bank dedicated to material capital has today become a space devoted to intangible heritage! The music of Ibrahim El Arrad contributes brilliantly to the enrichment of our artistic legacy."

The public did not spare praise for the artistic capabilities of a singer whose magical voice deserves more attention from the national music industry. The cellist and music teacher, Hassan Berrah El Kheir, stressed that the musician Ibrahim El Arrad possessed exceptional vocal qualities. "He brings his voice with ease to all registers and all scales. I do not know many singers in Morocco and elsewhere who possess such a sublime voice. He has incredible talent, a voice that wanders, with disconcerting ease, between the low and the high," he stressed.

During this musical evening, the music lover gratified the audience with three songs from his first album "Assahba" (friendship). One of them entitled "Houria", with lyrics by Toufik Fakher and composition by Ibrahim El Arrad, praises the charms of the beautiful city of Al-Hoceima. The bay of the pearl of the Mediterranean was chosen for the production of the next video clip of this musical work. This site bathed in turquoise waters was recently classified, in South Korea, among the most beautiful destinations in the world. By interpreting this song with an Andalusian melody, El Arrad's voice resonated with its timbre under the applause of a conquered audience.

The public who had filled the regional library hall throughout this evening was not mistaken. They gave him the triumph he deserves. The singer Hanane Ahmed, winner of the first prize 2014 for modern Moroccan song at the competition of the Free Union of Moroccan Musicians, for her part, paid tribute to Brahim El Arrad by interpreting a beautiful song by the Egyptian diva Najat Essaghira. Several young talents wanted to share moments of great emotion with this artist with exceptional vocal capabilities. They succeeded each other on stage to interpret oriental and western songs in recognition of a singer who has always honoured his hometown Kenitra.

The musical evening ended with a moment of great emotion, when his old friends interpreted the song "As Sinia" by the legendary group Nass El Ghiwane.

It should be remembered that the singer-songwriter Brahim El Arrad obtained the 2nd prize of the 2014 edition of the Moroccan song-youth category, organised by the Free Union of Moroccan Musicians in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture.
