The Sovereign thus proceeded to the launch of the liquid sanitation project for the center of Guenfouda (Jerada province), to the commissioning of the first tranche of the economic activity zone of Jerada, and to the inauguration of a multi-purpose social center in the commune of Ain Bni Mathar. With a cost of 17 million dirhams, this project will be carried out within a period of 12 months and will involve the construction of a septic tank-type treatment plant with a capacity of 252 m3, the installation of a wastewater pumping station, the laying of 12 km of pipeline, and the construction of three storm overflows. This project will allow the treatment of 84 m3/day of wastewater by 2030, as well as a reduction in the organic pollutant load to 80%. The economic activity zone commissioned by His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God assist him, will allow for increasing the economic attractiveness of the province through optimal exploitation of the opportunities it offers and to sustain the growth and economic dynamism that the region is experiencing. With a total area of 7.45 ha, the economic activity zone of Jerada has 68 industrial lots, as well as a social and commercial hub (mosque, shops, café). It should generate some 52 million dirhams of investments and nearly 540 jobs. Developed for an investment of 6.5 million dirhams, the first tranche of this zone, reserved for the establishment of companies operating in the metallurgy, construction materials, services, and agri-food sectors, includes 41 lots, 32 of which have already been allocated. On this occasion, the Sovereign presented, symbolically, allocation letters to the first beneficiaries of this first tranche. The multi-purpose social center of Ain Bni Mathar, inaugurated by H.M. the King, was, for its part, carried out within the framework of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) for a total investment of 1.72 million dirhams. This new space dedicated to women and children aims at the training and qualification of women and young girls in trades that ensure them a certain economic and social independence, the promotion of income-generating activities, in addition to its mission of listening and guidance. Its realization confirms the particular interest that the Sovereign attaches to the qualification of the human element, the cornerstone of any development project. Strong with the repercussions of the Royal Initiatives – INDH and Royal Initiative for the development of the Oriental – launched at the level of the region, the Jerada province is in a position to establish itself as a competitive and high-performing economic development hub.
