The 4th edition of the Meetings for Children's Theatre will be held from 5 to 8 April at the Al Houria cultural complex in Fès, under the banner "Yes to the values of tolerance".
Initiated by the "Allae Eddine for Theatrical Art" troupe in collaboration with the Fès-Meknès regional directorate of the Ministry of Culture, this cultural event is intended to root and instil a theatrical culture dedicated to budding playwrights representing several artistic troupes from all over Morocco.
This festival pursues the same objective as previous editions, namely to promote children's theatre, given the importance of the role played by dramatic art in the preparation and development of future generations, the organizers indicate.
This cultural event will be marked by a vibrant tribute to be paid to actor Mohamed Soussi Alaoui, known for having embodied the character inspired by Moroccan popular tales, 'Baba Achour'.
This edition will see the participation of young artists with specific needs as well as theatrical troupes from rural areas, who will be mentored by a host of playwrights and experts working in the field of theatrical art.
Among the plays that will be presented are "The Three Brothers" by the Alla Eddine troupe, "The Exit" by the Basma troupe for art and theatre, "The Farce beats the Lion" by the Free Theatre troupe, and "The Battle of Letters" by the Agoura Association for culture and art.
