For a framework law punishing violence against women
A collective of women's associations has pleaded for the implementation of a framework law that punishes violence against women, puts an end to impunity and guarantees the protection and reparation of damages suffered by victims of violence. The "Women's Solidarity Network" indicates, in an appeal made public at the end of a meeting held on Tuesday in Fès on the occasion of International Human Rights Day, that this law is capable of constituting an "effective" mechanism in the prevention of violence against women, in addition to its contribution to awareness-raising and education on equality and the rejection of violence and discrimination against women.
